Compliance & Business Statement
This statement explains what COGNIS AI PTE. LTD. (the "Company", "we", "us" or "our") does, how our platform works, and the boundaries of the services we provide. It is intended to give customers, partners and payment providers a clear and accurate understanding of our business.
1. Business Positioning
The Company provides an authorised AI API aggregation and developer platform. Through one unified, OpenAI-compatible API, a developer console, documentation, and usage-based billing, we make it easier for developers and businesses to access and manage a wide range of large language models and generative AI models. The platform is a professional software / API service (SaaS); the product a customer buys is platform API usage (Credits), not a physical good and not a third-party account.
2. Operating Entity and Payment
The service provider and the party that receives payment is the operating entity identified in the website footer and during the checkout flow — COGNIS AI PTE. LTD., a company registered in Singapore. Customer payments purchase platform API usage credits (Credits) associated with the customer's account. Our registered address and support contact are published in the footer of every page.
3. Model Sources and Data Flow
Requests you send are received by our platform for authentication, billing and safety controls, forwarded to the official upstream API of the relevant model provider, and the provider's response is returned to you. We access models through official or otherwise authorised upstream API channels and commercial arrangements.
The models made available on the platform originate from, or are provided through official APIs of, major model providers and their authorised distribution channels, which may include (among others) OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, Meta, Alibaba (Qwen), ByteDance (Doubao / Seedream), DeepSeek and other established providers. Provider and model availability may change over time.
4. Services We Do Not Provide
To avoid any misunderstanding, the Company expressly does not offer, and prohibits the use of the Service for, any of the following:
- Account sharing — we do not share, rent or resell third-party AI accounts, and we do not use customers' personal ChatGPT, Claude or similar subscriptions to provide the Service;
- Subscription top-up reselling — we do not act as an agent to top up or recharge third-party personal subscriptions or accounts on a customer's behalf;
- Circumvention of upstream restrictions — we do not assist in bypassing any upstream provider's geographic restrictions, account bans, quota limits or rate limits;
- Unofficial or unauthorised access — we do not provide access to restricted services through unofficial or otherwise unauthorised means.
Customers must comply with the terms of service of each relevant upstream provider. Our Acceptable Use Policy sets out prohibited content and uses in more detail.
5. Trademarks and Authorisation
Names such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, Meta, Alibaba, ByteDance, DeepSeek, and any model names are used solely to identify the models or capabilities that can be accessed through the platform. All trademarks and brands are the property of their respective owners, and their use does not imply any partnership with, sponsorship by, or endorsement from those owners. Commercial access is provided through official upstream APIs and authorised channels. Where a clear commercial authorisation path for a particular capability is not available, the Company may adjust its presentation of that capability or withdraw it from the Service.
